At the physical level, the methods of Yoga practice comprise various yoga postures or ‘asanas’ that aim to keep the body healthy. The mental techniques include breathing exercises or ‘pranayama’ and meditation or ‘dhyana’ to discipline the mind. NCCS provides three chances to the students to do the meditation, morning, afternoon and evening. The ultimate goal of yoga is to help the students to transcend the self and attain enlightenment. There is a separate curriculum for yoga in our school system. Students perform yoga on the specific yoga mats placed in the multipurpose hall.
